Pumpkins WLSC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for

We Love Stamping.

This month, we would love to see your cards with the theme of

Anything Autumn

I only have a few Autumn stamps, but had to use these pumpkins. They were stamped and coloured with DI's. I didn't feel they were enough on their own, even on this CAS card. So I stamped some leaves on digital autumnal paper, I added more DI's of the same colours, on top of the paper, that was better, I then fussy cut each leaf and flower arrangement.

Next, I die cut a square and stamped the sentiments onto it. Then I die cut an orange square, and attached them both. I 3D'd the pumpkins onto the background and did a simple placement of the leaves behind them. A very simple card, that maybe I could have added more, but I liked the simplicity. I hope my friend will too.

all stamps - Magazine freebies SC&P
inks - Distress inks, peeled paint, mustard seed, carved pumpkin
sentiment ink - an old Whisper pad
digital papers - Marisa Lerin, Autumn Art papers 2014

There will be a few 'random surprise spot prizes' this month, announced mid month and end of month posts.

Two prizes of Lavinia Stamps and stencil (photos not to scale). Please note, we (Lavinia) cannot provide exchanges/replacements/refunds for any products received through this third-party giveaway.

Relax birthday

Hi Everyone, a card for a nieces husband, I was stumped as to what to make, I saw a card on the web, loved the idea of the sentiment, so I cased it. I went through my files to see what I could find and found this chair. It was a digital stamp already coloured black, but I changed it to blue as I had found a paper pad that could be used for it. I printed out the chair and die cut it, I printed the sentiment and die cut that, then die cut the paper. I added blue Oxide ink to the edges of the white pieces of card, then added all of them to the base card. I kept it flat for overseas post.

Birthday cake card

Hi Everyone, a card for my eldest brother today, I made it for a DT post and forgot I had made it, I had put it in a pile of cards made for birthdays.

My excuse is, I bought a new guillotine, with Christmas money, that can cut A3 card, so I can easily cut 5x7inch cards landscape. I am so excited, as the only way I could do it before was to use my Silhouette.

I always look through my files for birthday, it doesn't always, but for this card it turned up trumps, yet again.

I took the Baker and the sentiment into Silhouette, then placed them as I wanted them. Next, I added his age and the sentiment. The page design and 3 copies of the Baker were printed. The Baker was coloured with markers, although not my best effort, I hope my brother doesn't notice. They were glued together.

The background paper was printed, and the baker layer was added to it, with the die cut sentiment.

Baking Chef - Dr Digi, Baking Brian (my brother is also Brian 😁)
inks - Spectrum Noir markers
sentiment copied from - From the Heart Stamps, Cat Pout

Panda CCC

Hi Everyone, one of my 2 DT cards today is for -

Critter Crazy

Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale,
Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter.

This panda came to light when I was looking for something else in files, do you find that? I do a search and the strangest things come to light. This was a cut file, so I took it into my Silhouette and cut it out with the negative frame, at the same time. The panda was a "hollow" shape, with just the black, but I made a white layer for the black to sit on. I sized them all to fit a 5x7 inch card. The eyes were so tiny, I'm surprised I could even pick them up.

As for the sentiment, I also found it in my files, something I had saved for future use. I generated it in Photoshop, and print & cut it out layering it onto black card which, with the negative shape was laid onto the base card. Next the panda was 3D'd and laid inside the negative shape.

I decided to make the insert full colour, so again, in my files, I found the "paint strips", and added a few words I thought would be suitable for the insert.
panda - So Fontsy, Silhouette School
negative shape - Carin Grove
font - Bigger Lemons

Vegetables TMR

Hi Everyone, my card today is for the
Mojo has been lacking this year, I have umming an ahing over this theme for a while, then! I saw a card in my ideas files, that I had saved to be able to case, by Aimes, problem over. I even told her in my comments I would case it.

Anyhow, on to what I did. This vegetable digital stamp, has been in my files from 2022. I cut and printed it, and the sentiment, with my digital die cutter. I then coloured it with markers, I didn't have enough reds, but I think it came out ok. I still wasn't sure what to do, so went looking for a paper background, nothing in my paper pads, then came across the perfect thing, a dp sheet of vegetables. It was printed it and I used it as a backing for the coloured image. The paper was added to the base card and the vegetables were 3D'd onto it, as was the sentiment.

For the insert, I found more images in my files and added a lemon, cherry and olive to the glass, then added a shadow effect for the glass. I added the sentiment and printed it out. Card done.

Guest Spot -Allsorts Challenge

I am thrilled to have been asked to do a Guest Spot for the

The theme is Hearts, I had this heart die in my subscription magazine a few months ago, I hadn't used it before, but it was the perfect occasion to use it. I cut it out of red textured card.

I had cut 3 layers of 300gsm card with hearts along while ago, cut out on my Silhouette, and had glued them together, I used it to emboss a square of white card. This is the cut-out I embossed with.

I cut a square red layer and layered the embossed hearts layer onto it. The die cut was attached to the embossed layer. Next I stamped a sentiment and layered it onto more of the red card, it was attached with 3D pads to the card. It's quite a deep emboss, but can't be seen on the main card.

Turtally Wishes

Hi Everyone, I have 3 DT cards today, I hope you will be able to visit each of them, this is for -

We will select two winners each of the weeks
1 using QKR Stampede  or Eureka Stamps image
 and 1 using any image!

Anything Goes every 1st & 15th of the month

I thought I would use these lovely images for my card today, and use a floral background I haven't done in a while, well! it's getting to Spring?

I added all dp and images to Silhouette, I printed them and cut 3 of the cat, turtle, and the sentiment.  I cut 2 pieces of card to match the size of the bottom floral, embossing a "wall" and adding stencil clouds. The images were coloured with water colour pencils, I added wobbly eyes to the cat and 3D glaze to the turtle eyes. All then attached to the card. I think I've made it sound a simple card, but it took longer than I thought, don't they always?

dp - Marisa Lerin Digital Scrapbook
watercolour pencils - Nuvo Beautifully Vibrant

Tag card TMR

Hi Everyone my one of 3 DT cards today, I hope you will be able to visit each one, this is for

I knew I had a tag in with my files and went off to find it. I used my digital die cutting machine to cut it out, then went to find some beer images and stamps. This time I was fortunate and found images and stamps. I used the beer glass stamp to stamp and clear emboss over the background. I printed and digital die cut the images and with a sentiment I generated, I added a shadow cut base.  Then using the stamps I stamped and embossed in gold. I felt they needed a shadow base, I'm useless at fussy cutting, but I hope the recipient won't notice they are not done like a die cut, apart from the sentiment with my die cutting machine and the circle which was die cut. I have just noticed you can't see what is inside the circle, I stamped "Cheers". All were then attached to the Tag card and some bakers twine added to each tag.

stamps - magazine freebies
circle die - Tonic

I hope I'll see you at the Challenge.

Christmas Poem

Hello Everyone, I hope you are in good spirits? I think you will, if, you read through my post, at least I hope you will!

I have finished and posted all my cards, however I have received a few that weren't on my list, so back to it again! Pressies are mostly done, I hope!

Anyhow on to why you are here.

My card is one, that on a day I had no mojo, was busy and had to get a couple of Christmas cards done, I decided to go to my Silhouette files and I decided to do this, it was just cut the card, add a white card layer behind the cut image, then add silver glitter, a few gems and they were done. I certainly helped with mojo too.

Ornament card - Silhouette Design Store
glitter - Nuvo Pure Sheen silver
gems - stash

Now on to something I think you will like and have a chuckle at. Last year I had a few poems by Gill Reed, my SiL's Sister, she has a gift of putting words together and recently my SiL sent me this of Gill's. I love it and I added a few images and a  gradient, to help show it off which I hope Gill will approve of, I have asked if I could share it with you. Please enjoy.

If you want to see the rest of Gills poems, you should be able to see them by clicking on her name in the label links at the end of this post.

Thermometer!

Hi Everyone, my card today is for a friend of ours who's 80th birthday is next week. I was looking for ideas on the web and saw this quote and straight away I knew what I wanted to do. Off to Photoshop to design it and then off to my digital cutting machine to cut it out. I added a wood overlay to a shape I made and printed both the temperature gauge, a freebie image off the web and the shape, which was cut with 3 layers to add a little strength, I did the same with the sun.

When printed, I added glaze to the red bar and added acetate to the back of the "wood" shape, I added 3D dimensionals to the shape and place it onto the gauge. It's not quite straight, but I don't think he will notice, I hope not! The cut sun was layered and I added the layers slightly offset to add more rays. It was then painted with clear sparkle pen and glaze added to the specs.  I also added a little DI to the sun's cheeks as the sparkle pen had diluted the colour. The sun is actually all yellow, but the photo has got it a little blue, maybe shadow off the lights?

Dads & Grandads 2nd June

HI Everyone, my card today is for

As Father's day is due this month I decided to make a card for hubby, from our son, for this challenge, although as long as it's for Dad's or Grandads that will be good. As my man is one who likes to be busy, but also likes his nap, although usually in the evening! I thought this image suited him well.

I printed the image out and coloured him in DI's, I matched the rainbow paper I decided to use and also a sketch, as I was lacking ideas of placement.  It's an old one, but I just liked the look of it.

Masculine birthday

Hi Everyone, my card today was for my eldest brother, this was his present. I had forgotten I hadn't blogged it. I actually cased a card I saw and had to use it, as I thought it so masculine.
My brother is a whiz with computers and is capable of anything really, he likes an occasional brew, (hence the present, so I incorporated his "Techie" skills and his "occasional" brew into the card. I'm glad that this actually had a "good card" from him, he is so understated in his words LOL.
