Striking and hypnotic, listening through Geister is a rugged and immense journey. The album is brimming with ceremonial darkness from the moment it starts. The intensity of each track is bookended with ritual, and this immersive factor keeps me utterly entranced by the story being told. Geister still feels frigid and dangerous, and I end up captivated every time I listen.

Probably one of the only atmospheric black metal bands that top Burzum for me. The keyboards/synths really add to the already chilling experience. I confess that I have cried multiple times listening to this 9/10

Bleak, atmospheric and insanely heavy. Lengthy, terrifying and addictive. Black Metal, Death Metal, Doom Metal with horns and jazz thrown into the mix. It works, it’s a nightmare to remember and relive.
