about

Over the past three decades, DAT Universe and its team of “sonic archaeologists” have worked tirelessly to excavate and identify forgotten sounds, striving to fill the blanks of Goa Trance history.

One of their core missions has been to spotlight overlooked talents, especially within the French scene, who never received the recognition they deserved during the genre’s Golden Era. Artists such as Crossing Mind, Opale, Gangguru, and Vedama, once little more than obscure names on DJs’ DAT tapes, have since unearthed their long-lost discographies and risen to prominence within the scene.

Yet one crucial name remained absent from this list, slipping past the label’s radar for years: Trân Museus. After an extensive search, the gifted artist behind the project was finally located. He began a secret collaboration with DAT Universe, which lasted for years, culminating in the release of his long-awaited debut, The Museum of the Full Moon. This double album unveils one of the Goa Trance underground’s most hidden treasures.

Christophe Denizot, born in Paris in 1973, grew up immersed in music thanks to his father, a symphonic trumpet player. From early violin lessons to a teenage plunge into rock, reggae, and ethno sounds, he became a true “sponge of sound,” carrying influences from The Cure to tribal chants into his own compositions. In the early 90s, a humble Yamaha keyboard, a Korg X3, and finally an Atari with Cubase opened the gateway to electronic creation. From there, he began composing endlessly, night after night, building tracks with patience, emotion, and unfiltered analog energy.

Under the alias Trân Museus, Christophe crafted more than fifty original pieces between 1994 and 2001. Supported by French pioneers such as Jaïa, Total Eclipse, and Did Vortex, his music quietly circulated on DAT tapes, earning admiration from DJs across Europe and even in Goa itself. A few tracks graced legendary events, but the wider world never heard the full story, until now!

This release curates the very best of his hidden archive, spanning two creative eras:

Disc One (1994 to 1997): Warm, spontaneous Goa trance forged with SH-101s, MS-20s, and an 8-track mixer - pure energy from the golden age.

Disc Two (1998 to 2001): Expansive, melodic odysseys created as Christophe transitioned to Logic Audio, broadening his sound, while preserving his unmistakable emotional signature.

The result is a sonic time capsule: timeless melodies, hypnotic sequences, and trance states that capture the heart of a producer who always sought to tell stories rather than follow formulas.

For decades, Christophe doubted his readiness to share these creations. Now, at last, he flings wide the doors to his Museum of the Full Moon. This is more than a release - it’s a resurrection, a hidden chapter of Goa Trance history brought back to life.

A lunar whisper awakens from the shadow, and while a full moon rises over ancient echoes, Trân Museus steps into the light.

The 2CD comes with a beautifully illustrated 12-page booklet, where you can read in detail the full story of the artist. Please pre-order your copy and don't miss your chance to dream with the amazing music of Trân Museus!
