fxreboys This whole album is an experience like no other, it reminds me of a blend between Minecraft and Skyrim. It captures the feeling of loneliness and really exemplifies the darker tones it's trying to go for. Favorite track: Theme.

gerbil_in_space Just now realizing I never made a comment here, might as well. Blood moon as an album based off of a game is one that I think amazingly encapsulates how it feels to explore the world that this game’s so known for. Through its almost triumphant instrumentation coupled with the tragic context of the world explored, this album breathes life into an almost decade old hyrule. Great ambient album, as I don’t feel I could say it enough. Favorite track: Overworld.

Patrick L Nothing will ever compare to this album. I strongly encourage anyone looking for that "ambient" sound...this is it. I truly hope Imprints keeps creating these monumental pieces as they truly inspire mental positivity and give you plenty to ponder more than just life. Favorite track: Theme.

about

A concept album of experimental interpretations and original compositions inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. A collaboration between the video game soundtrack label, Data Discs, and the London-based group, Imprints.

Written and recorded between 2019-2023, this album utilises tape machines, pedal steel guitar, modular synthesisers, field recordings, piano, double bass and various DIY circuits/devices in an attempt to approach the idea of the “video game cover album” in a more organic and interpretative way. By mixing acoustic and ensemble elements with processed electronic and synthesised sounds, the intention is to reflect the feelings of desolation, space and loss often evoked by this most revered and influential game.

This album is being offered as a FREE download (or pay whatever you want) to anyone who's interested.
