Another take on the Japanese knot bag, this purse features a rounded body with a bold tapered strap. It is knit in the round in a single piece, with kitchener stitch at the straps. Complete instructions are provided for kitchener, as well as for felting the bag in a washing machine.

This variation on the Japanese knot bag is larger with a shoulder length strap for everyday use. The soft shape gives the bag an easy boho feel. It is knit in the round in one piece- the only seaming is grafting at the midpoint of each strap (complete instructions are provided if you haven’t grafted before). Complete instructions are also provided for how to felt the piece in a washing machine.
