Spongebob inspired chalk art

It has been way too long since we last pulled out the sidewalk chalk! And since it's too cold to play outside, what better way to use it than in an awesome Christmas art project! We don't have a sidewalk in front of our house and our driveway and patio are made from interlocking brick. So it's kind of hard for the kids to get overly creative with sidewalk chalk in the summer. Our patio ends up looking like a giant mosaic, with each brick coloured a different colour than the one next to it…

Jan Riggins and her 13-year-old daughter Olivia have always loved chalk art. Before the pandemic, they used to partake in sidewalk art competitions whenever the opportunity arose, but now they're dazzling their neighbors in one Fort Worth neighborhood in Texas. "When all of the festivals started getting canceled or postponed, I was really disappointed," Jen, who also paints in watercolor and oils, told Bored Panda. "That’s when I decided to just start using my sidewalk and driveway."

We at Bored Panda have been following David Zinn's cute street art since 2012. Back in the day, we introduced David's first character named Sluggo – a green semi-subterranean inhabitant, who appeared doing all sorts of shenanigans on the streets of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
