Decided to do a post about painted floorboards as I often get asked how we did the floor in our Auckland villa. Step 1. Fill and sand the existing boards. I used a mixture of sawdust and pva to fill large gaps and then top filled with timber filler, in this case colour matched to 'kauri' Step 2.
