Cut out a bunch of 2.5" strips of fabric and sew with me!... | By Grace Company | Up next, we've got a rail fence block. Take three long strips of fabric that are all the same width and just sew them together and if you want to make this with me, I recommend starting with two and a/ 2 inch strips and you're just going to sew them all together as fast as you possibly can without messing up and then, just iron them open. Easy peasy. Now, you're going to measure the width of your strips and this will tell you how long each block is going to be. You're basically making a square. If you're going to use two and a half inch strips, then you're going to want to cut six and a half inch squares out of your long piece of fabric. This is where the fun begins. Now, you're going to assemble your squares in any design that you want. I recommend going over to Pinterest and searching rail fence pattern and that will get you lots of inspiration from quilters around the world. Once you find a design that you like, go ahead and sew all your blocks together. Then, when you're finished, go ahead and post it and tag GraceCompany so we can celebrate with you and cheer you along in your sewing journey. Happy sewing. I
