I went on my Social Security account last night. Suppose I should be happy that the 2.8 % COL adjustment is only 2.5% net after the increase in the premium taken out for Medicare, and not less!

Gratitude is always recommended, but saying that makes me think of the guys in chains singing Always look on the bright side of life from Monty Python and the Holy Grail 😆

(1,076 posts)You are right- both movies were great. I remember that I saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail with girlfriends and we sat through it twice! But I saw it a third time a few weeks later with my then-boyfriend and he didnt think it was funny. So you know that our relationship didnt last! If you dont share the same sense of humor, you are just not compatible! 😆

(33,021 posts)My supplemental premium went up a lot last year. Increase for next year hasn't been posted yet on the retirement survivor benefit that funds it.

(33,021 posts)I had to start taking RMD's from my IRA last year and I was hoping that wouldn't push me into a higher tax bracket. The brackets have been adjusted again for this year.
