This band really reminds me of a more gothic, even romantic themed version of Judas Iscariot. Most definitely one of the more unique bands in the black metal scene nowadays. This album takes the sound of Night & Love and expands on it's greatness even more. Ryan
'Exuvia' is what I'd call "ritualistic black metal." I never cared much for the rest of the album, but this first track — especially from 3:12 to 8:00 — is such a trip. I can't even count how many times I've listened to that passage, but it never gets old. Immense and powerful beyond words. Their earlier album, Blood Vaults, also has an incredible opening, but 'Exuvia' is on another level. Avant-garde, with a dark, spiritual energy, The Ruins of Beverast is different. Obsidian One
Fantastic. Grim praise, reverence for the Black Foe of the World in his adversarial majesty. This is the best Tolkien-themed black metal I've ever heard, doesnt use its subject matter as a crutch in the slightest. 𝙑𝙖𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙨
Joseph Hawker subverts the musical and sociopolitical status quo with a black metal triptych that's as incendiary as it is impressionistic. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 5, 2022
