Halloween is growing event here in the UK but sending cards maybe isn't high on the list, having cute photos and collecting sweets are probably more important.

Lets be honest it's good fun making Halloween cards and I had this idea to make an actual pumpkin card. I decided to use the Echo Park Celebrate Autumn perfect colours. I used the Simon says Stamp Stitched Oval cutting three ovals, you overlap two of them and place the third in the centre.

Rather than have a green stalk I decided to use a Witches hat using the Simon says Stamp If the Hat fits I discovered I had rather a lot of space and decided it needed a sentiment which is why I used the Simon says Stamp Stitched Banners with their Hey Pumpkin stamps.

I couldn't just stick a banner on so I got out my new Tim Holtz Thinlits called Funky Foliage and using the Echo Park papers made a couple of Toadstools.

A Bit of Magic

To be honest the only reason I brought the Simon Says Stamp If the Hat Fits was I absolutely love this sentiment. I stamped the hats on my main image mat but then stamped on a couple of pieces of Doodlebug so I could paper piece them.

The crack in the wall stamp which I may have got too excited and stamped a few too many is a Hero Arts. I brought it more for Scrapbooking but it a fun stamp to use.

To finish I coloured the buckles on the hats with a gold pen.

Blog Hop

Not only is this another Halloween card its my theme for the Blog Hop. This is my final Halloween/Fall card I really need to sit down and make those pesky Christmas Card especially the thin ones for the post.

So back to my card, I've used the Lawn Fawn Lets Polka in the dark, using the Simon Says Stamp Hills and Slopes. The fences I've used recently and they are from Impression Obsession called Country Fences.

The tree is Memory Box Birch Tree, the bats and spiders are also Memory Box, finally the grass round the tree is MFT. My brilliant image is Hobson on Halloween which you can find in Mo's shop.

Since I'm the first point of call on Mo's Blog Hop  and now you need to Hop, Skip and Jump over to Olesya.

Don't forget there are two $5 gift vouchers to spend in Mo's shop to be drawn from the participating Dream Team Designers comments so make sure you comment on everyone in the blog hop posts.

Tabitha

Its difficult not to use cute images and Mo's Tabitha is definitely cute, I've used her for the new Everybody Art Challenge for Pumpkins which just happen included in the image.

The papers are Lawn Fawn Lets Polka in the Dark and I have a web stencil which once I used I then cut it out using a Stitched Rectangle.

I then cut out the MFT Picket Fence and laid it over my base image then I layered the image on top. Finally I though my web needed  spider and I used the Simon Says Stamp Not so Spooky stamp set and it had to have some goggly eyes added.

I believe I have one more Halloween card which was my fault but its not till next week then my blog is a Halloween free zone and into panic Christmas Cards!

Hobson

Mo Manning has been doing some drawings for Inkoctober although not planned for the Digital Shop, demand for them has been so great that she has put some in her shop and Hobson on Halloween is one of them.
Don't you just love this goblin well my DD does she now has this door hanger I quickly made. I just like to add she's already had her thirtieth birthday.

I made the background using a circle disk and the Stamping up Lovely as a tree.

Bats and spider are both cut from the Cricut with some added googly eyes and the top was using a Poppystamp die and trimmed round the card.
Happy Birthday Hubby

I find Stampendous mice a bit hard to layer but I knew I could happily layer the Monica Butterfly. I used a page out of the Lawn Fawn Lets Polka in the dark which I used the Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes on to give my main mat.

I also used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles on my image mat. I added the sentiment and spider from the Simon Says Stamp Not so Spooky stamp set.

Then I set about distressing my image mat using Indigoblu Ink Splats. I have to confess the long stamp with small coffee stain shape stamp in the set I cut just after those stains giving me two stamps and more scope for a mixture of both on my card.

I stamped an extra spider on another bit of scrap card and cut out his body then added googly eyes well it is Halloween soon.

Pumpkins

I made some cards with the new Stamptember goodies that Simon Says Stamp sent me and I thought it would be a good idea to show them before Stamptember finishes.
I received Not so Spooky and hit a snag right away no Halloween paper, so I simply cut strips out scraps and stuck them to some thin card stock but I reckon copy paper would do too. Then I trimmed to even the sides and used the Simon Says Stamp Wavy Stitched Scallop border.
So now I had something for my Pumpkins to sit on. The black corner annoyed me so I added some eyes.

Halloween

If it wasn't for me making a bit of a mistake for Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge there wouldn't be a card for today. I used the Doodlebug Halloween papers are they such fun if I wasn't making this originally for a DT card I would have added some Cricut spiders so I could add wiggly eyes but these ones are Memory Box . Although I have brought the MFT dippy goo die I have used the Martha Stewart punch might as well till it either I can't punch any more or it goes to craft heaven.
Of course my little puddy cat is Penny Black and the sentiment is from Hey Pumpkin set from Simon Says Stamps.
Fingers crossed Mr Blogger is kind to me and he publishes my schedule post because I shall scrapbooking away wedding photos hopefully and not just moving papers around my space.

I made a complete mess of my card for today's challenge and I'm short of time this week to the point I'm getting stressed out with the things to do list in my head. So having to make another card it had to be quick.

Do you notice the inspiration board showing the colours to use for this challenge well that inspired my card.
I used the coloured card and quickly coloured up Pumpkin Soup from Penny Black and used my favourite Halloween Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp called Hey Pumpkin for the sentiment.

The stamp set is one of those must haves, I used it a lot to make pumpkins which you can see on a previous card I made here.

To finish a bit of twine from Doodlebug do love this twine its soft and pliable for making bows.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Leftover pumpkins

I had to make a Halloween card and I thought I would use some pumpkins but I changed my mind but by that time I had already made them. I use an oval punch and a circle punch and Simon Says Stamp Hey Pumpkin stamp set for the face and stamp ribbon.
The large dotty leaves are Impression Obession dies and I use a leaf punch for the top of the pumpkins. The papers are Doodlebug. I've used the Freshly Made sketch and I'm in time to enter it too.
I've actually done a bit of scrapbooking this weekend and I need a few finishing touches to one but it reminded me that I need to print some photos for next weekend when I have a whole weekend scrapbooking at a retreat.

Halloween

Gosh the first weekend of October its all downhill to Christmas but first we have Halloween or if you are joining us on Penny Black Saturday Challenge Halloween and Halloween colours.
I've decided on Halloween gives me an excuse to use a cute Penny Black stamp and the papers from Doodlebug.
The sketch is Sweet Sketch Sunday but of course I've passed the date for entry not that it bothers me since its the challenge I like. I stuck my cute critters onto acetate so it looks like they are flying and added a patterned bit of paper inside. You can just work out by the photo  the side of the card through the acetate. I added a few spiders something else that only comes at Halloween.
Do pop over and check out the team because we have some lovely new team mates and lots more inspiration. Also do hope you can join us.

HALLOWEEN and/or HALLOWEEN COLOURS

ie ORANGE / PURPLE / BLACK

I've been waiting for this challenge to show off my pumpkins, since receiving the Hey Pumpkin set from Simon Says Stamps I've been wanting to make pumpkins but I saved it for their challenge. They are made with an oval punch or die and circle punch or die but with the circle one I used the punch/die again to make is smaller.  Then I used the Pumpkin face from the die set to for the centre of the pumpkin, only then did I stick them together to form a pumpkin.
Since I love my Penny Blacks and the Halloween ones only come out once a year I chose my Catman. I've used a couple of the Leafy Branch from Memory Box to give hanging branches over shadow box and once again I fiddled with thin thread to tie my spiders from the tree which by the way are from Memory box.

Tabitha

This was a Sketch Saturday sketch from a couple of weeks ago, but since I was using scraps of Halloween papers not sure it worked but the winning part of the card is the sweet Tabitha from Mo Manning.
Haven't quite got the hanging spiders out of my system yet but I needed a tree so use a branch die from Memory Box bit fiddly ties thread on but patience is a virtue.
I also had to use the bats die its only right its Halloween soon after all.

The angle shot that makes wonky cards look straight!!!!!

Dressed to Scare

Can you believe its the first Saturday in October it only seems five minutes ago it was September but what it does mean a new challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge. Since it the month of Spooky things including my Birthday its time for Halloween on the challenge.
I've resisted buying new Halloween papers it was hard but I have been trying to use the old stuff including the papers for this card.
First my Penny Black image is Dressed to Scare and my sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Hey Pumpkin set.
My tree is from Memory Box Tall Birch Tree and I used Woodland Branch die then I tied bits of black cotton on my tree ( very fiddly with fingers that didn't want to) then I stuck the Memory Box scary spiders on the threads so they look like they were hanging down.
Do pop over and check out the team and hope you can join us too. Please remember you must use a least one Penny Black stamp to enter the challenge.

Spiders

Has I was so unhappy about my Less is More Washi trees I decided to make another card, ok I wish I never added the orange strips but they are well and truly stuck down.
Now I may have mention the spiders die I got at the weekend well here they are and it was a perfect time to use my Martha Stewart border punch it comes out at Halloween or when I need paint dripping.
The brick wall is a Sizzix embossing folder and the dotty scallop is another Martha Stewart die but I've hidden most of the pattern just leaving the tiny scallop in view.
Hopefully the challenge has got the tape out their system and never to be repeated again!

Orange and Purple

We have a colour theme over on Everybody Art Challenge this week and its Orange and Purple which conjurers up Halloween and this is my only themed Halloween card.
The papers are from Fancy Pants but they are last years having avoided buying anymore themed paper. I already have a Cuttlebug web folder and as always with Halloween out came the Cricut for my spiders, they're are fun with their wobbly eyes.
My Pumkins I used the George cartridge and the long ovals quite pleased how they turned out. The little image is a CC design but I think she is retired cos I'm sure I brought her in a craft shop sale.
Hope you can join us this week and do pop over to check out the DT.
Its Cyber Crop over on UKS at the weekend and I brought the Mystery Kit didn't realise the weekend I planned to make it I would be unwell so although I've started it through the haze of feeling under the weather I'm now not pleased how its going but feel I'm obligated to finish it. So that is what I will be doing today, that and have a good catch up with all the blog visiting I've missed.
