For Mum

It sad but I’ve not been making many cards and when I do I can’t show because they’re earmarked for family but this card will be taken down to the crematorium and can be shown.  The others when they’ve had their birthdays.
The image is Just Inklined not even sure they exists but is a beautiful image although not very simple to layer.
This is the card I started to make and knocked over the sansador so you can tell I wasn’t happy especially as it was for my mum. She likes fussy cards which why I added the frilly frame.

Tulips

Gosh Easter seems ages ago now but this card is the last of the Easter ones. I used the Tulips image from Just Inklined. Although fairly easy to colour there is quite a lot of cutting out and layering but it definitely worth it.
I've kept it CAS one to show off the tulips but really for time since I had left it to last minute.

I had a lovely time at the All day crop on Saturday I made two layouts and nearly made a third but it was the layout from Hell. Everything that could go wrong did, so I quickly finished it yesterday not sure I will ever admit to making it.

Easter

I meant to show my Easter cards I made this weekend although I reckon this image could be used for many other reasons too. I'm pretty sure the cross came from Just Inklined. I have used it before but this time is was being sent to the lady Hubby lodged with when he moved South who is now in a Nursing Home. Although her memory isn't so good I still think its nice to receive a card.
I just layered the Spellbinders Majestic Labels Twenty five well I think it is and placed a colour behind them.
Its a foggy old morning which I hope clears I've convince my Hubby I need to got shopping and I've decided the Glitter Pot is the type of shopping I need!

Motorcycle

I don't make commission cards but occasionally someone catches me at a weak moment. The card is for Motorcyclist fan and first I had to find an image. Finally I found the image from Just Inklined called Born to be Wild.
Took some working out how to colour it and then work out what bits I wanted to layer, its not like person with arms and legs. Too be honest that was the easy part than I had to make a mans card with it.
I so pleased Nikki made me buy these cog dies perfect size for a card, also I cut down the Joy coner to make the corner.
Penny Black Birthday die and the numbers and the today came from the same place as the cogs they have All Occasion Dies on the packet and I brought them at a Craft Show. It didn't help when I handed the card over I had put the wrong age on. Luckily the seven came off and when I cut the letters I cut the all of them rather than having tiny dies to lose but I keep them in the packet with the dies so there was an 8 already cut.

Had a bit of play with the envelope making punch and made a box for it too and added some left over cogs on the top. The lady was really pleased with it and now someone else plans to ask for a special card for an occasion coming soon. It such a worry making cards for other people because you never sure they going to like it and I know how long it takes to colour, layer, move paper and embellishments around, sticking it down.

Holiday Reg

I wanted to make a quick card so I decided to make a Mans card limited embellishments and when I saw the Friday Sketch Challenge I knew it would work with this Just Inklined image called Reg Butterthwaite.
The papers I'm pretty sure are Echo Park or Carta Bella not sure which since I've only kept the ones I think I could use.
My square punch worked overtime to make the fish tail banners and the sentiement die is from Simon Says Stamps which I've just brought and had to use whether it worked or not.
Bit of glossy accents for his glasses and camera lens.

Mr Mojo still on holiday hope he hasn't moved out permanently and I don't have any cards after today do have some scrapbooking in reserve. We will just have to wait and see if I can make cards for the rest of the week one has already found its way into the bin yesterday.

Retirement

My Hubby rarely asks me to make a card  but a work colleague was retiring and he need a large card for everyon to sign. In fact its two pieces of A4 joined together the reason for the border at the top.
One of the specs was to use this photo, I've hidden his face cos I don't have his permission to post it.
Once I saw the Just Inklined wellies I knew I had to use them but originally I couldn't find a gardener but after the images were coloured I then found the Gardener Gus at Dr Digi's who was perfect.
Not knowing how to make a card with a huge photo I left it fairly simply using Stampin Paper I have.

This was the image I found before Gus, Reg Butterthwaite from Just Inklined, had to use him somewhere so added him to the inside.
Hubby was pleased and I think his work mates were too, just hope it doesn't happen again not very good with commissioned cards.

Whoops

It's more than Whoops I realise now I've used a Sketch Wednesday sketch but I believe its from two weeks ago. My image is a freebie from ages ago not even sure where it came from I want to say from Just Inklined but I would be guessing.
The papers are LOTV  and once again I've used the Crochet border from MFT and possibly the daisy but the leaf swirl is. Sentiment is LOTV once again.
Didn't do very much yesterday after a busy Saturday I knew I would have to rest up but I did get Hubby to move me back to the craftroom having looked at the weather for the next two weeks being a bit warmer fingers crossed I manage to stay there now.

Wellies

Its always a mistake making a Mans card but I think this one is growing on me. First of all this is a sketch from Sketch Saturday.
I had to get some gardening images for a card I made for a workmate for Hubby whose retiring, card will be published when received. So I wanted male images with a gardening theme well I had to have the boots from Just Inklinked.
The papers are American Craft Boho Garden and the embossing folder is Stamping Up with some of the hexagon cut out to place randomly on them. My only wish now is that I had used one colour but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Not sure when I will see Hubby this weekend he's helping BIL so the plan is to make cards with the hope I will have some in reserved for bad days and will feel less stressed. Also I have at least two cards to make which can't be publish till after the 6th April so that will help.

Anniversary

There two cards that are for some special people at the begining of February one of them is for my Mum and Dad who celebrate their 54 years its going to strange this year with them living separate places. Mum loves busy cards the only thing that is missing on this one is glitter.
I've used the sketch on The Sketchy Challenge and the papers are Kaiser Magnolia Grove all distress with ink.
The image is from Just Inklined, years ago I saw a stamp similar to this and I so regret not buying it.
Finished with lace, ribbon and roses, the sentiment is LOTV and the swirl is MFT.
The temperature is going to be in double figures so I got my DD to give me hand to move back to my craftroom and I'm looking forward to staying there so hopefully we had our snow this winter.

For Mother in Law

Another card I've had to wait till they had received it. Well it was MIL birthday yesterday and I'm pretty sure she loves the more traditional cards rather than cute. The card was inspired by the one I made for Nikki's Workshop which I thought I had posted but I haven't so will have to track them down.
The word paper is again Stamping Up but the dotty paper is from DCWV  and behind the image is a Cherry Lynn doily die that I saw on QVC but someone on facebook pointed it out how much cheaper it was in a couple of online shops. It was all distressed to get the aged look, if all my distressing turns out like this I may do it again.
The gorgeous bluebell image is a digi from Just Inklined and I spent quite a while working out the layers. The actual colouring didn't take long and I cut two bluebells out at a time instead of individually.

Tulips

If only I had coloured this after the LIM challenge but I needed a more traditional Easter card rather than a cute one for MIL. This image is from Just Inklined and although I need to work out the leaves I'm pleased with the end result. My wishy washy sentiment isn't by the way not sure how it photo liked that.
The pic below is to show the dimension I got my layer the tulips and leaves.

A card for a Friend

When I saw this digi image from Just Inklined I had to have it, one of my friends has a little dog who is getting on in years and unable to walk too far, so they brought him a little cart so they can continue taking him out. My friend's birthday is soon so this is going to be the ideal birthday card for her.
I've used the sketch from Crafts4Eternity which I have turned to fit my image better.  The papers are Bo Bunny I think they're are Peacock Lane. I used the Cherish border punch from MS a bit different this time, the Doo-Hickey swirl and of course the retro flower punches.
Stamp Something challenge is to use a digi image so I can tick that box.
Nothing much happening during the week but I've another busy weekend to look forward to. Saturday my friend Nikki's workshop and Sunday its Scrapbuddies crop.

Easter

I always send my MIL an Easter card but feel the cute bunnies are not appropriate for her, this year with a printer ink that doesn't smudge I source some Easter crosses. I found two one from Karen Doodles and one from Just Inked which is the one I've used.
I've used Sketch and Stash challenge but I have turned it and the papers are those pretty First Edition Hideway.
Wish now I put a gem inside the flowers instead of some glamour dust but bit difficult when its over two hundred miles away.
I hope everyone is having a lovely Easter, those in the UK hope you missed the thunderstorms I know we did. I'm still dosing myself with anti histamine pills etc which is very odd cos I don't get hayfever!
