Pineapple

I'm a bit disappointed in my card I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles and Rectangles and then I used their Stitched Banners to cut the background down. My problem is the line where I laid the background on top on the side of the banner I didn't use.

The reason I made the card in the first place was that I had stamped the pineapples from Wplus9 Citrus Background when I was in thinking stage of my SSSWchallenge card this week and I couldn't not use them.

I used the Sunshine die again from Simon Says Stamp along with their Thoughtful Messages for my wishes. The tiny flowers are Simon says Stamp Mini Flowers and Leaves  my centres are made with Simply White Crystal Drops from Tonic.

Oh and before I forget the papers are Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow.

I stamped the main image stamp from the Wplus9 Citrus Background with Simon Says Stamp Orange Slush inkpad and using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles, I centred the image before cutting out.

I then stamped them a few times, the orange ones were done with but I coloured the lemons by using watercoloured pencils in the centre and watered brushed the colours to edge. Once dried I used the pencil for the rind. Not forgetting I fussy cut each orange and lemon so I could emboss the back a little so the edges are rounded and not flat.

Now when a die arrives in my craftroom it needs to be set to work and thats why I decided to use the new Simon Says Stamp Sunshine die and I thought it was perfect for the oranges and lemons. Just needed to finish the sentiment of by using Simon Says Stamp Thoughtful Messages which had a single small wishes on.

We went to London yesterday when we initially planned it, we wasn't expecting one of the hottest days of the year. It sent the trains doolally, decided to catch a train to Woking just as well we did, heavens know when we would have got home. Still didn't stop us enjoying our day out.

I've used Modern Anemones from Wplus9 and I knew I wanted to make a black and white card. I layered a bit of white between the two pieces of black to give the card a bit of depth.

The flowers were easy to do by colouring only the centres and I use a fine tip pen to do the tiny stamens. I simply fussy cut the flowers, each flower is cut out three times one to be my base. The second I embossed on the back with a large embossing ball tool and the third one minus some petals. I made the leaves in the same way but only had to cut two of each set of leaves.

I wanted the flowers to sit on something so I thought I would use the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Banners and I stamped the Uplifting Thoughts stamp leaving a space for one of my leaves.

A Bit of Green

Time for new challenge on Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

 and this week its
Touch of Green
The team is also using Wplus9 products but thats not a requirement for the challenge just the DT chance to show what amazing products Simon Says Stamps have in their store.

I've gone for almost CAS well my version of it but it did mean I had time to make two cards using the gorgeous Tulips and Daffodils from Wplus9 A Special Lady set unfortunately its out of stock at the moment.

I saw a card using Tim Holtz Bricked embossing folder or one nearly like it and knew I had to get it. Love how it really sets of my daffs. The papers are Echo Park True Friends and the scallop edge is a Memory box mini scallop die . The sentiment came from the stamp set and I used a Spellbinders die which I can't find, nor do I remember what its called sorry.

This time I used the tulips but this time I used some of Simon Says Stamps Exclusive dies, Falling Hearts Ariana Wreath and Expressions of You stamp and die set. The dotty paper is the same pack as the one above.
I see I forgot the pearl I wanted to put at the top of my wreath, must make sure I do that before I post it.

Now you know the drill to win the chance of this fabulous prize you have to enter the challenge with a new card no backlinking and you need to enter your post using the linky thing on the challenge blog.
