P&I Research Center

Frontend for the "Research Center" that Pensions & Investments was building out. As part of this project, I spent two weeks embedded with their team / going in to their office / helping to integrate with existing portions of their system (which used Angular).

This was my first time using React for a real project, circa Q2 2014. Part of it involved implementing a virtual table component that could simulate the rendering of many, many thousands of rows while only actually rendering the rows in view – inspired by something called Ember ListView, and predating ReactTanStack Table. The tables in the project featured things like inline sparklines, and pie charts inside of expandable rows (which the rendering logic had to account for):
