‘Foundation’ Season 3

Foundation Season 3 finally sets up a showdown that sci-fi fans have been waiting years for: Gaal Dornick (Lou Llobell) and the powers of the Second Foundation vs. The Mule (Pilou Asbæk). The latest season of the Apple TV+ genre epic jumps ahead to the very tipping point of the galaxy. Empire is fading. The Cleons (played by Lee Pace, Terrence Mann, and Cassian Bilton) are fractured. Foundation is being split from within. Oh, and The Mule has started causing mayhem with his powers of mind manipulation. Foundation not only continues to be one of the best cast and most staggeringly beautiful shows on TV, but also one of the most ambitious. The show never shies from the meat of Isaac Asimov’s heady books, opting instead to trust that its audience is smart enough to keep up and fun enough to enjoy the hot bods on display. Foundation Season 3 is back, now with more shirtless Lee Pace!

‘Elsbeth’ Season 3

I know there are a lot of shows on broadcast television these days that are asking, nay, begging for your attention, but as far as I am concerned, one of the few worthy of your time is Elsbeth. A hilarious, silly, and always smart drama that brings in A-List guest stars week after week, there are few shows that I look forward to on a weekly basis... Read more

‘Aliens Expanded’

Bill Simmons struck podcast gold when he launched The Rewatchables a decade or so ago, a nostalgia-soaked series focused on dissecting the movies that shaped Gen X. The series, which is headed to Netflix in 2026, proved that there is a rich market for looking backwards, but it also demonstrated that there is a white space in the market: What if... Read more

‘Underwater’

I admittedly missed Underwater when it premiered in 2020, but it recently piqued my attention when I learned the film was an Alien-style horror film starring Kristen Stewart who's fleeing none other than Lovecraft's Cthulu. The film takes place on an underwater rig that is drilling into Mariana's Trench, but when the rig becomes flooded and kills... Read more

‘IT: Welcome to Derry’

HBO's IT: Welcome to Derry is a twisted new addition to the larger Stephen King cinematic universe. Simultaneously a prequel series to Andy Muschietti's 2017 and 2019 IT films and an origin story for The Shining's Dick Hallorann (Chris Chalk), IT: Welcome to Derry follows what went down in the creepy Maine town 27 years before the Loser's Club met ...
