Here is my card, I hope that I haven't forgotten any important details:

  • I decided that I would make another sympathy card.  Unfortunately, I've had to use a few this year so far, so it is time to replenish the stocks.

Digital Sentiment Details:
  • I used this sentiment combo back on a card I created in May and I'm sure I'll use them again.  Both of these wonderful sentiments were created by Paulette from Create with TLC.  I picked each of them up as freebies a while back.  Now while I found one of them in the store, I didn't find the other although it doesn't mean it isn't there.  If you are interested be sure to ask Paulette about whether it is available for purchase.  The 'in my prayers' sentiment is availabile in the "Prayers Enclosed" Vintage Image Transfer and Word Art Set that you can find in the store by clicking HERE or on the watermark below.  To find more great sets in the store, click HERE; and to check out Paulette's blog, click HERE.

Challenges I am hoping to enter...

You have until September 3rd to enter our challenge which should give you lots of time to get a creation done.  Remember the theme is Anything Goes.  I really hope that you will be able to join us. Don't forget that along with all the typical rules that apply to the majority of challenges out there (please click HERE to become familiar with all the rules), you MUST USE A DIGITAL OR STAMPED IMAGE to qualify for the drawing (unless stated otherwise). You can enter twice per challenge and of course MUST follow all the challenge requirements that are posted for each challenge. Easy Peasy right!

Scribbles Designs Challenge #30 Midway Point...Feathers, Fins or Frog Legs

Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians!!!  Be sure to come back later today as I will have a special freebie for you!

Since it is the start of a new month that also means that it is time for the midway for the latest Scribbles Designs Challenge to get started.

There are two whole weeks left for you to come on over and enter. In case you've missed it, the theme this time around for Challenge #30, is Feathers, Fins or Frog Legs.  When we think of animals, generally our first thoughts often go to those that inhabit the lands around us--whether domestic or wild.  But what about the air above us and the waters below?  There is so much beauty out there, above and below land, that we often forget about.  Therefore, this month we want to see a project featuring avian or aquatic life.  So, what will it be--fins, feathers or frog legs?  However, in deference to our beloved SD character Carl, please be sure that if you chose frog legs, they remain attached to the rest of the frog.

Entering is super simple!  You do not need to use a Scribbles Designs image; however, if you do, your name gets entered into the draw twice.  You can purchase your Scribbles Designs images HERE or you can also find one for a limited time on the challenge blog HEREAlso, be sure to check out our special Freebie Friday posts as it is another great way to build your Scribbles Designs collection.  You can find the rest of the rules and information regarding winners in the sidebar on the challenge blog.  You have until 9pm PST on July 14th to come over and play with us.

Here are my card and all the details...

General Information:

  • For my card at the start of the challenge I drew my inspiration from the sea.  This time I take it from the sky.
  • I thought this image would be perfect for a clean and simple card. I adore Sandy's Peek-a-boo images and it was fun to finally use one.

Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #106...Fun in the Snow

    http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca
Oooh, it is the second day of a brand new year.  I'm here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge.  However, before I start I wanted to let you know that there are a couple changes going on.  First up, the challenges will be moving from bi-weekly to monthly.  This will give you the opportunity to have lots more time to come over and play with us.  Additionally, we are now just one team.  So how about we get on with the details for our very first challenge of the new year?!  This time around for Challenge #106, the theme is Snow Much Fun.  We want to see snow somewhere on your card.

Here is my card, I hope that I haven't forgotten any important details:

    General Information:
    • As it turns out today also happens to be my first cousin Blair's, birthday.  You may have seen the card I did for his twins' birthday (which is in three days) back a couple of weeks during my intro post for Imagine That! Digis by Kris.  Now it is time to show their poppa's card.  Given the time of year, I thought it fitting that I make a winter themed card to celebrate the occasion!  But I must warn you, it's a bit punny but at least it has a lot of snow on it!
    FRONT
    Digital Image Details:
    • Snowman 1:  This cute image was perfect for my card.  You can find it in Pattie's Etsy shop by clicking on the name or watermark linked below.  I coloured the image with copic markers and added some glitter glue to make the snowflakes.  To make the snow on the bottom I actually used a product that is used in ceramics to make snow. I think it gave it a nice snowy touch!
    https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/59995269/snowman-1?ref=shop_home_active_7
    Digital Sentiment Details:
    • A pun one I created to match with the snowy theme that leads to my inside sentiment.
    Embellishments:
    • The half pearls and the ribbon are both Crafts brand and were purchased at Dollarama.

    INSIDE
    Digital Sentiment:
    • This sentiment was a recent freebie created by Paulette from Create with TLC.  As soon as I saw it, I just knew I had to use it on my cousin's card.  Click HERE to go to Paulette's blog and HERE to go to the store.

    OVERALL
    Paper Products:

    • Card base:  Michael's Recollection's cardstock, white.
    • Designer Paper:  The blue paper is from the Recollection's Bright Christmas paper pad.  The snowflake edging that I used in the middle are actually from the edges of the paper I used.  I thought they'd add some more snow and create a complimentary mid panel.
Challenges I am hoping to enter...

So remember, starting today we are going to monthly challenges.  This should give you lots of time to get a Fun in the Snow creation completed.  I really hope that you will be able to join us. http://open-mindedcraftingfun.blogspot.ca/

Hello everyone. It is time for the latest link-up over at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges.  They have just wrapped up their very first challenge and had a total of 99 people participate.  That is pretty amazing for their first challenge out of the gate.  So, congrats Vicky, Susan and gang on the success of your very first challenge!

Well since the first one is in the bag, it is time for challenge #2.  The challenge has only been open for two days and they already have 9 people entered.  Looks like this one will be as successful as the last or even more so.  Challenge #2 will be open for another 12 days so you have plenty of time to get your creations in.  The theme for this fortnight is Warmth (food or clothing)!! Think of all the options that this concept opens up.  In the food department there is everything from warm beverages such as hot chocolate, coffee, tea, or even some hot apple cider, to any type heated up food item--some steaming soup would hit the spot right about now.  Then you have warm clothing such as scarfs, coats, mittens, boots, long johns and so much more! The gang over at OMCFC is eagerly anticipating what you come up with!

Check out the incentive they are enticing all of us with...
