A Room With No View is about the sound of water, muffled, one room over, just out of sight. Perhaps this is a metaphor.

This album explores some of the same production techniques from "plastiq" but with tighter songwriting and a stronger jazz influence. While very little of the album was performed or recorded, the MIDI and audio programming of each song rarely perfectly loops, with lots of small improvised tweaks. Some songs also make use of randomness. I think it brings an imperfect, unpredictable energy to what is otherwise a "perfect" workflow. I took this approach on plastiq as well, but I think the higher density of writing makes it come through more.

This album is also the first time I've used an actual mastering process, though admittedly something is lost when mastering your own work instead of getting outside help.
