I love this album because it's about the place where I did most of my growing up in Southern California and songs like Homeboys truly resonated with me - I can close my eyes and when Gene sings about a football game, "light post to light post" and "talking about each other's sisters under the street light" I'm transported to the summer of 1984 and playing ball with Richie as the sun sets, wondering if Kevin's sister might like me, and the sound of my mother's voice calling me in for the night.

Fantastic album/CD with great instrumentation and vocals. Also an inspiration listening to the lyrics. Excellent recording quality as well. I give this my 5 Coconuts!
