DEZIMADE There is something about Dan! I saw him open for Father Misty. Everyone was was so focused on Dan. . They love him! Then Father came on as the headliner and everyone stayed in front tight. They were there for Dan AND Father !!!
I learned something about a movement. They have no ego. Well maybe Misty a lil lol

dismantledking 25 years treading a path of stylistic growth to rival Bowie himself, Dan Bejar paints an evocative portrait of his world in the "current year". Ever-increasing sophistication, and elegant restraint when called for.

This album serves as a great companion to Labyrinthitis, much like how 'Have We Met' pairs so greatly with 'Ken'. A logical progression, and comfortable enough to carry their runtimes seamlessly- while still marking his own evolved sensibilities in the passage of time.

about

Dan’s Boogie is, in true Destroyer fashion, a contradiction: a breakthrough album for Dan Bejar that began its life as a disappearing act and, as such, does things no Destroyer album to this point has ever done. Its nine songs imagine Bejar as a lounge singer, a hustler, and, at times, a supporting character in his own fantasies in nine all-timer Destroyer songs that have the urgency of a state secret hiding in the mind of a tortured spy.
