Two of Chile’s most exciting and celebrated artists, producer-DJ Dinamarca and rising rapper AKRIILA team up for this one-off three-track collaborative project titled headphones !, via Dinamarca’s own STAYCORE Label. It’s no secret Dinamarca is one the music industries best a&r’s, his credits can be found on early songs from Ralphie Choo, Rusowsky, Shygirl, Miss Nina, Villano Antillano, and Madrid's rising star Amore. On this latest project, he connects with the rising Chilean superstar AKRIILLA, who Rolling Stone recently labelled a "rising Chilean Plugg powerhouse". The two will play a handful of shows across Europe this summer, with AKRILLA joining the likes of Lola Young, Snow Strippers and Arca at this year’s Roskilde festival.

A mutual admiration brought together these two cutting-edge artists, and after just a few studio sessions in a Santiago-based studio, headphones ! was in full flow. “Initially, I wanted to work with Dinamarca because I wanted to explore sounds very different from what I was used to creating.” explains AKRIILA on the EP’s creation. “After a couple of sessions, we felt that the tracks we had recorded together were incredible, and we thought, why not release a very short project that would represent Akri stepping into Dinamarca's world?”

Over the years, the Dinamarca brand has seen many forms but always staying true to its illuminating core. Last year, Dinamarca released his soñao album (ft. Ralphie Choo, AMORE, Meth Math), which received widespread acclaim from Pitchfork, Crack Magazine, Resident Advisor, Dazed and more. Boiler Room invited Dinamarca to play their LA show last summer, spotlighting their global link up with Favela Worldwide with sets from Brazilian DJ K and D33J.

AKRIILA is the musical and multidisciplinary project of the 20-year-old Santiago-based rapper. Since 2020, AKRIILA has explored genres such as trap, drum-and-bass, and Jersey club, standing tall in the emerging urban scene that's been bubbling in her city with defiant and personal lyrics reflecting on her LGBT+ experiences. The consistency of her music, shows and music videos has earned her a lot of recognition within her creative community
