    En la edad moderna tanto los campaneros como los relojeros continuaron siguiendo las pautas precedentes en la fabricación de artificios mecánicos y fundición de los bronces. Todos ellos siguen los conocimientos antiguos, testimoniando el arraigo artesanal de esta época (enclavada entre la segunda parte del siglo XVIII y la primera década del siglo XIX). Por esta razón resulta interesanteestudiar el papel de las reales sociedades de Amigos del País que, de la mano de los relojeros cortesanos, llevaron las novedades contemporáneas más avanzadas a sus respectivos tiempos, lo que convierte a estas en referente de las nuevas tecnologías al servicio de la medición del tiempo. El interés que suscitan las obras fabricadas hace que el estudio de las mismas, junto a la difusión del conocimiento, sea fundamental al ocupar de primera mano la historia sonora y temporal de aquellos pueblos en donde se encuentran.

    In the modern age, bell ringers and watchmakers continued to follow the guidelines in the manufacture of mechanical devices and casting of bronzes. All of them follow ancient knowledge, testifying to the craftsmanship style of this time (located between the second part of the 18th century and the first decade of the 19th century). The Reales Sociedades de Amigos del País show that they take court watchmakers by the hand with the most advanced contemporary novelties for their respective times, making them a benchmark for new technologies at the service of time measurement. The significance of their works, many of which are preserved due to their societal importance at the time, underscores the fundamental nature of their study and dissemination. These artifacts offer firsthand insights into the auditory and temporal histories of the communities in which they were situated.
