In May 1933, at the beginning of the dictatorial Estado Novo regime (1933-1974), the Portuguese newspaper Diário de Lisboa (1921-1990) launched a monthly edition. Initially ambitious, the new journalistic project only ran for four issues. From re-reading this editorial experience, of which there is no study or analysis, we realise that the newspaper's editorial profile and political stance was one of unequivocal support for Salazar, to the regime and its colonial policy. At the same time, it maintained a highly critical stance towards Italian fascism and emerging Nazism.

O jornal português Diário de Lisboa(1921-1990) lançou, em maio de 1933, no início do regime ditatorial do Estado Novo (1933-1974), uma edição mensal. Inicialmente ambicioso, o novo projeto jornalístico apenas teve quatro números. Da releitura dessa experiência editorial, de que não existe qualquer estudo ou análise, percebemos que o seu perfil editorial e posicionamento político do jornal é de apoio inequívoco a Salazar, ao regime e sua política colonial. Paralelamente mantém uma posição muito crítica face ao fascismo italiano e ao nazismo emergente.
