Una mirada al legado de los 25 años de la revista Ciencia y Tecnología Agropecuaria: una aproximación cienciométrica

    La publicación de artículos en revistas indexadas se ha consolidado como el principal canal de difusión e intercambio de conocimiento entre académicos y científicos, sin embargo, su función no solo es contribuir al acceso de resultados de investigación y desarrollo tecnológico y de innovación, sino también aportar al crecimiento y al desarrollo de áreas, líneas y tópicos de un núcleo de conocimiento. La revista Ciencia y Tecnología Agropecuaria es una publicación cuatrimestral dirigida a los involucrados en el campo de las ciencias agropecuarias y que tiene un enfoque multi e interdisciplinar en el sector agropecuario, incluidos los componentes de los sistemas agroalimentarios. Esta investigación analizó la estructura del conocimiento difundido por la revista entre 1996 y 2021, a partir de la implementación de métodos y herramientas propias de bibliometría, cienciometría y vigilancia científica, y como resultado se identificaron los indicadores de contribución en la difusión de conocimiento especializado; las principales tendencias de investigación; el núcleo de conocimiento de la revista y su línea evolutiva, a través del análisis de 488 artículos recuperados de Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, Lens y Dimensions, por medio de los aplicativos VOSviewer y Bibliometrix. Finalmente, se presentó la huella cienciométrica lograda por la revista en sus 25 años de existencia, evidenciando su contribución a la difusión y el crecimiento de la agricultura y las ciencias biológicas, así como la necesidad de fortalecerlas en el marco actual de la ciencia abierta, la perspectiva de la publicación científica del sur global y el contexto de la evaluación de la ciencia.

    The publication of articles in indexed journals has established itself as the main channel for the dissemination and exchange of knowledge between academics and scientists. However, its function is not only to contribute to the access to research results and technological development and innovation, but also to contribute to the growth and development of areas, lines, and topics of a core of knowledge. The Agricultural Science and Technology magazine is a quarterly publication aimed at those involved in the field of agricultural sciences and that has a multi- and interdisciplinary approach in the agricultural sector, including the components of agri-food systems. This research analyzed the structure of the knowledge disseminated by the magazine between 1996 and 2021, based on the implementation of bibliometrics, scientometrics and scientific surveillance methods and tools, and as a result, the contribution indicators in the dissemination of specialized knowledge were identified; the main research trends; the core of knowledge of the journal and its evolutionary line, through the analysis of 488 articles retrieved from Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, Lens and Dimensions, through the VOSviewer and Bibliometrix applications. Finally, the scientometric footprint achieved by the magazine in its 25 years of existence was presented, evidencing its importance. to the dissemination and growth of agriculture and biological sciences as a key area of ​​knowledge, as well as the need to strengthen it within the framework of the current dynamics of open science, the perspectives of scientific publication from the global south, and the current context of science evaluation.
