    Xarxa Forestal està constituïda per grups de persones de diferents àmbits que treballen amb l’objectiu comú demantenir els valors i les funcions dels espais forestals de les Illes Balears. Nascuda dins l’administració autonómicabalear fa 20 anys, ha anat evolucionant i adaptant-se a les necessitats forestals segons ha anat canviant la realitat i elsconeixements tècnics i ambientals; per aconseguir això té les seves arrels ben connectades a la gestió, tocant de primeramà els problemes dels boscos i ajudant a explicar a la població les actuacions que han d’executar els tècnics forestals.Mentre que les seves branques van dirigides a sensibilitzar a diferents sectors de la societat convidant-los a forma partde les fulles d’aquest arbre, amb accions de diferents tipus (tallers, xerrades, reforestacions, etc.) i amb diversos mitjans(visites de camp, publicacions, xarxes socials, etc.); tot dirigit a convertint-los en agents transformadors que facind’altaveu del missatge forestal. Els fruits d’aquest projecte han de ser una societat i uns boscos més resilients a lesfutures pertorbacions, provinents sobretot del canvi climàtic.

    Xarxa forestal consists of groups of people with differing backgrounds, working towards maintainingimportance and functions of the Balearic Islands' forest areas. Created 20 years ago within the Balearic regionaladministration, it has been continuously evolving and adapting to address the challenges caused by new environmentalknowledge and discoveries. It has a two-pronged approach to achieving these objectives. Firstly, the management team,acting as its roots, deals with the problems faced by the forests, and explains the necessary forestry managementtechniques to the general population. Secondly, its branches race awareness amongst different sectors of society,inviting them to form the diverse leaves of this tree. This allows a variety of activities, such as workshops, presentationsand reforestation events, and communicates using a variety of media including publications, social media and fieldvisits. By doing this, the importance of forestry preservation has a voice. The fruits of this project will be a society andforests that are more resilient to future threats and challenges, in particular, those caused by climate change.
