The Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) initiative has experienced a considerable growth and it is being integrated into curricula all across Europe. Although this teaching approach has been mainly practiced in basic educational levels, it is currently being displaced to Universities. The present study shows an innovative experience in the development of CLIL materials for Chemistry laboratory practices at university in order to facilitate a proper acquisition of content and foreign language. The aim of this paper is to provide University professors working in bilingual settings with useful tools to develop their work successfully. The sample under study stands at the University of Almería, where a pioneer Plurilingualism Promotion Plan is being developed in order to integrate foreign languages (mainly English) into different university courses. Results evidence the usefulness of multimodal resources to support the teaching of both Chemistry methods to be used in the laboratory as well as foreign language.
