    En L´Éducation sentimentale el Derecho está presente a lo largo de todo el relato. El autor, al igual que el protagonista de la novela, ha sido estudiante de Derecho, aunque más preocupado por otras actividades. Sin embargo, hay pruebas de la metodología que siguió Flaubert para construir escenas relacionadas con el Derecho. En este marco, este artículo se fija en una referencia en la novela a una institución jurídica, el estelionato, para hacer un estudio del término y su contenido en el derecho romano y su recepción en derecho español y francés.

    Law is present throughout the entire L'Éducation sentimentale. The author, like the protagonist of the novel, has been law student, although more concerned with other activities. However, there is evidence of the methodology that Flaubert followed to construct scenes related to Law. In this framework, this article focuses on a reference in the novel to a legal institution, the fraud, to make a study of the term and its content in Roman law and its reception in Spanish and French law.
