  • This paper deals with the iconographic and cartographic instruments of historical urban analysis, with reference to the research projects by CIRICE on the history of Naples. The study will describe the sources and the methodologies applied in these projects for the reconstruction of the forma urbis with the use of georeferenced historical cartography in the context of Digital Urban History, which is at the basis of a correct approach aimed at knowledge, conservation and enhancement of the historic city.
