    En cada país se observa en los jóvenes un declive del conocimiento y del amor a suidentificación cultural y nacionalidad, en el entorno social. En este contexto se debereflexionar la importancia de fortalecer la identidad cultural, construyendo el sentido deecuatorianidad de forma integral, no como un individuo aislado en una región de un paíssino más bien como un ciudadano que debe asumir y empoderarse del conocimiento desus tradiciones culturales. El objetivo del presente artículo es concientizar sobre laimportancia de fortalecer la identidad cultural en el proceso educativo ecuatoriano. Lametodología utilizada para el presente artículo se enmarca dentro de una revisión de tipodocumental, se apoya en la recopilación bibliográfica de fuentes de datos electrónicos,obtenida en bases de datos como Redalyc, SciELO, entre otros por estar relacionadoscon el tema. Conclusión. Las nuevas generaciones están siendo influenciadas porculturas extranjeras lo que genera disminución y pérdida de su identidad cultural, poresta razón se debe fortalecer la identidad cultural de los estudiantes durante los periodoseducativos, aplicando estrategias didácticas para que puedan descubrir, reconocer yvalorar sus raíces para preservar la memoria histórica, garantizando que lasgeneraciones futuras conozcan su herencia cultural, y salvaguardar el patrimoniointangible en la sociedad ecuatoriana el orgullo por su identidad cultural del Ecuador.

    In every country, a decline in young people's awareness of and appreciation for theircultural identity and nationality is observed in their social environment. In this context,we must reflect on the importance of strengthening cultural identity, building a sense ofEcuadorian identity holistically, not as an individual isolated in a region of a country,but rather as a citizen who must embrace and empower knowledge of their culturaltraditions. The objective of this article is to raise awareness about the importance ofstrengthening cultural identity in the Ecuadorian educational process. The methodologyused for this article is framed within a documentary review, supported by abibliographic compilation of electronic data sources obtained from databases such asRedalyc and SciELO, among others, as they are related to the topic. Conclusion: Newgenerations are being influenced by foreign cultures, which generates a diminution andloss of their cultural identity. For this reason, students' cultural identity must bestrengthened during their educational periods, applying teaching strategies so they candiscover, recognize, and value their roots in order to preserve historical memory,ensuring that future generations know their cultural heritage, and safeguarding theintangible heritage in Ecuadorian society and the pride in their cultural identity asEcuador.
