«Torres más altas...»: sujeto y razón en la modernidad

    Desde las atalayas del proceso globalizador se ha tratado de finiquitar la historia, pero la respuesta ha sido la destrucción del propio intento: la historia les ha devuelto la pelota. La modernidad se ha construido sobre dos pilares -léase torres- que han caído por tener los pies de barro, como el gigante del libro de Daniel. Sujeto y Razón, sesgados desde una comprensión miope, han sido los sustentos ideológicos de todo el proceso que ha llevado a la construcción de un magno imperio en occidente, pero sus días han tocado a su fin, no porque sus propuestas no tuvieran validez fáctica, sino porque no podían responder a la necesidad humana de felicidad perenne.

    From the watchtowers of the process of globalization it has been a question of putting end to the history, but the response has been the destruction of the proper attempt: the history has returned the ball to them. The modernity has constructed itself on two pillars "towers" that have fallen down for having the feet of mud, as the giant of Daniel's book. Subject and Reason, from a perspective, have been the ideological sustenances of the whole process that has led to the construction of a great empire in west, but the days of this empire are ending, because his offers could not answer to the human need of everlasting happiness.
