El MARQ en 2007: la culminación de un proyecto de museo de alcance internacional

    Tras la obtención en 2004 del Premio al Museo Europeo del año en el certamen celebrado en Atenas por el European Museum Forum, el MARQ entra en el circuito internacional de museos. Mantenerse en el mismo requiere la continuada asunción de retos y propuestas. Sin perder de vista el entorno provincial al que se debe, el Museo Arqueológico de Alicante desarrolla una intensa actividad. De la misma se da cuenta hasta el 2007, cuando 5 años después de la inauguración del MARQ, el Museo cumple 75 años, es sede del Premio al Museo Europeo del año, participa en proyectos europeos, genera jornadas y congresos, y acoge exposiciones resultado de relaciones de carácter cultural establecidas con otros museos e instituciones internacionales como el British Museum o la Soprintendenza de Pompei.

    After obtaining in 2004 the Prize of the European Museum of the year held in Athens by the European Museum Forum, the MARQ became part of the international circuit of museums. Staying in the same, requires the assumption of continuous challenges and proposals.. Without lose sight of the provincial environment to which is owed, the Archaeological Museum of Alicante develops an intense activity. Of the same one it realizes in 2007, when 5 years after the inauguration of the MARQ, the Museum celebrated its 75º anniversary, hosts the European Museum Award of the Year, participates in European projects, organizes seminars and presents exhibitions as a result of cultural relationship established with other museums and international institutions as the British Museum or the Soprintendenza of Pompei.
