Resumen de Intervención grupal y calidad de vida en personas diagnosticadas de VIH

El objetivo de esta investigación es identificar las áreas de mayor y menor nivel en la calidad de vida de las personas diagnosticadas de VIH antes y después de una intervención grupal. La muestra fue de 19 hombres diagnosticados de VIH, cuya edad oscila entre 30 y 50 años. Es una investigación cuasiexperimental con diseño pre y pos prueba con grupo control y experimental. Se utilizó el Cuestionario Multidimensional de Calidad de vida para personas con VIH/sida. Durante cuatro meses se realizaron talleres de salud física, psicológica y social. Con la intervención psicológica grupal se logra una diferencia significativa de 0,042 entre la pre- y la post prueba dándose un incremento en el grupo experimental pasando de un nivel medio a un nivel alto. Los resultados establecen la relevancia de la psicología en la salud mental y el funcionamiento cognitivo en las personas diagnosticadas.

The aim of this investigation is to identify the areas of higher and lower level in the quality of life of HIVdiagnosed people before and after a group intervention.
The sample was composed of 19 HIV-diagnosed men, whose age oscillates between 30 and 50 years. This is a quasi-experimental investigation with a pre- and posttest design with an experimental and a control group.
The Multidimensional Questionnaire of Quality of Life for people with HIV/AIDS was used. For four months workshops of physical, psychological and social health were made. With the group psychological intervention a significant difference of 0.042 between pre- and posttest is obtained, occurring an increase in the experimental group, shifting from a medium to a high level. The results establish the relevance of psychology in the mental health and the cognitive functioning in the diagnosed people.
