Control de calidad de tres gammacámaras BrightView XCT en los seis primeros meses de funcionamiento

    Este estudio trata de comparar el comportamiento de las tres gammacámaras del Servicio de Medicina Nuclear del Hospital La Fe. Para ello, se realizaron una serie de medidas periódicas de los dos subsistemas más relevantes en cuanto al funcionamiento de los equipos, el sistema de adquisición de imágenes de medicina nuclear, SPECT, y el sistema de adquisición de imágenes tomográficas por rayos X, XTC. El estudio contó con un período de adquisición de medidas de los seis primeros meses de funcionamiento de las gammacámaras. Destaca que las tres gammacámaras tienen comportamientos particulares, siendo los tiempos necesarios entre calibraciones para ambos subsistemas por parte del Servicio Técnico de Philips totalmente individuales. Además, se encontró una gran variabilidad entre los períodos de las distintas calibraciones, en función del tipo de calibración realizado.

    This study sought to compare the behaviour of the three gamma chambers of the Nuclear Medicine Department of La Fe Hospital. For this, we perform a series of periodic measurements of the two most important subsystems in the operation of the equipment, the nuclear medicine imaging acquisition system, SPECT, and X-ray imaging system for tomography, XCT. The study had an acquisition time of the first six months of operation of the gamma cameras.

    It is noted that the three gamma chambers have particular behaviours, being the time required between calibrations for both subsystems entirely individual. In addition, there was a large variability among the periods of the different calibrations, depending on the type of calibration performed by the Philips Technical Service.
