    El conflicto de Moldavia con su región separatista del Transdniéster ha permanecido «congelado» desde el acuerdo de alto el fuego de 1992, y no ha podido ser resuelto a pesar de las innumerables iniciativas internacionales al respecto. En el presente año, la crisis de Ucrania y la firma del tratado de asociación de Moldavia con la UE han reactivado la tensión, ya que pueden incrementar los deseos de independencia y de unión a Rusia del Transdniéster.

    The Moldovan conflict with its separatist region of Transnistria has been «frozen» since the peace agreement of 1992, and it couldn�t have been solved in spite of the uncountable international initiatives about it. This year, the Ukrainian crisis and the sign of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU have reactivated the tension, as they could increase the independence and further union to Russia intentions of the Transnistria region.
