    En mi colaboración he pretendido abordar la temática de las islas legendarias, que definimos como islas reales de difícil identificación, en la historia y literatura, diferenciándolas de otros tipos como las utópicas, las míticas o las fantasmas. Hacemos el estudio de una selección de estas islas ubicadas en el Océano Atlántico (las más numerosas), en el Océano Índico, en el Mar Mediterráneo, Mar Negro y Mar Báltico.

    «Legendary Islands (II)». This contribution deals with the topic of legendary islands as dealt with in history and literature. Legendary islands, defined as real islands which are difficult to identify, are distinguished from those labelled �utopian�, �mythical� or �phantom�. A selection of these islands, belonging to the Atlantic Ocean (for the most part), the Indian Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, and the Baltic Sea, will be considered.
