Resumen de Arte aborigen australiano: ¿destrucción, apropiación o protección?

  Se propone reflexionar acerca del proceso de creación del arte aborigen australiano y su posterior uso occidental. Las consecuencias de este uso se plantean en términos de destrucción, apropiación o protección. Para ello, se adopta una perspectiva antropológica que, desde el mercado actual de las obras de arte analiza en qué medida se genera conocimiento social tanto para los espectadores occidentales como para los aborígenes, quienes transforman los significados de sus obras más antiguas y contemporáneas. Las implicaciones de esta reflexión sugieren un modelo de gestión del arte poco responsable, cerca del lucro económico y la buena reputación del arte australiano. Este último punto es desarrollado también en términos de apropiación cultural, autenticidad y relaciones de poder.

  This work thinks of the process of creation of the Australian Aboriginal art and its use in the Western market. The consequences of this use are analysed in terms of appropriation, protection and destruction. Therefore, an anthropological perspective is proposed in order examine the market of the symbolic goods nowadays. It also analyses what social knowledge is generated in this context, both for the Western and Aboriginal perspectives. The latter, transform the meaning of its oldest and newest artworks, by accepting Western influences. The implications of this work suggest that Western art management focuses on the economic benefit and the good reputation of the Australian art. This last point is developed in terms of cultural appropriation, authenticity and power relations.

  Lan honen helburua, australiar aborigenen artearen eraketaren eta Mendebaldean ematen zaion erabileraren inguruko gogoeta egitea da. Artearen erabilera eredu honen ondorioak, jabetzaren, babesaren eta suntsipenaren ildotik jorratuko ditugu. Horretarako, ikuspegi antropologiko batetik, egungo arte lanen merkatua landu eta Mendebaldeko nahiz bertako ikusleen ezagutza soziala nola eratzen den aztertuko ditugu; gogoan hartuz, azken hauek, haien artelan zaharrenenen eta garaikideen esanahiak eraldatzen dituztela. Gogoeta honen ondorioek, interes ekonomikoaren eta australiar artearen izen onaren gainetik, Mendebaldeko artearen kudeaketa arduragabe bat iradokitzen dute. Azken atal hau kultur jazarpenaren, benetakotasunaren eta botere harremanen ikuspuntutik garatuko dugu.
