    En los últimos años han surgido importantes iniciativas y se han realizado grandes esfuerzos para garantizar la protección y preservación del patrimonio cultural, buscando concebir nuevos proyectos que aporten a los procesos que inciden en la salvaguardia patrimonio. Se genero un proyecto participativo con estudiantes de arquitectura de la Fundación Universitaria de Popayán por medio de talleres didácticos que buscan desarrollar la capacidad de apropiación y conocimiento del patrimonio de niños de 4º y 5º grado de básica primaria, inculcando en ellos criterios de identificación, protección y preservación de los diferentes valores patrimoniales de la región del Cauca, rescatando la importancia de las dinámicas que viven las comunidades a través del tiempo, para que adquieran competencias que promueven, desde las comunidades, estrategias de participación en programas o acciones con la incorporación de los valores patrimoniales y las variables sociales y económicas para preservar, conservar, rehabilitar, revitalizar y reeditar dicho patrimonio

    In the last years important initiatives have emerged and great efforts have been made in order to guarantee the protection and the preserving of the cultural heritage, in this it is possible to conceive new projects that contribute to the new processes that affect the safeguard of the heritage. A participating project was generated along with the architecture students of Fundación Universitaria de Popayán through didactic workshops that look for developing the capacity of appropriation and knowledge in the 4th and 5th grade children of primary levels by involving them with criteria of identification and preservation of the different heritage values of the Cauca region, trying to rescue the importance of the dynamics that are lived by the communities through the epochs, so they can get skills that promote, since the communities themselves, some strategies of participation in programs by incorporating the heritage values and the social and economic variables to preserve, keep, renovate, revitalize and reissue this heritage.
