    El objetivo de este trabajo ha consistido en una revisión de los artículos publicados en la bibliografía científica relacionados con los efectos terapéuticos de la balneoterapia/hidroterapia en fibromialgia y osteoartritis. La mayor parte de las revisiones sistemáticas analizadas pusieron de manifiesto evidencias positivas en el alivio del dolor y en el bienestar de los pacientes tratados con estas terapias. Sin embargo, son muchos los autores que concluyen en la necesidad de realizar un mayor número de estudios aleatorios con alta calidad metodológica, para ofrecer una fuerte evidencia sobre los efectos de estas terapias en el tratamiento de la fibromialgia y osteoartritis.

    The objective of this work was to analyze systematic reviews about the effect of balneotherapy/hidrotherapy on patients with fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis. Most of the systematic analyzed reviews revealed positive evidences in the relief of the pain and in the well-being of the patients treated with these therapies. Nevertheless, many authors conclude in the need to realize a major number of random studies with high methodological quality, to offer a strong evidence on the effects of these therapies in the treatment of the fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis.
