La labor del comentarista científico de la Biblia se parece a menudo a una investigación policíaca. El presente artículo pretende sugerir cómo los relatos bíblicos se pueden presentar también de forma amena, más asequible a la mayoría de la gente, y capaz de despertar mayor interés por conocer la Biblia. Los capítulos 17 y 18 del libro de los Jueces contienen el relato de la fabricación de una estatua, que es robada por los danitas e instalada en el nuevo santuario de Dan.

The task of the scientific commentator of the Bible quite often is similar to a detective investigation. This article intends to suggest how the biblical stories can also be presented in a pleasant way, more within reach of a greater number of people, and able to waken a greater interest to know the Bible. Chapters 17th and 18th of the Book of Judges contain the story of the erection of a statue, which is stolen by the Danites and installed in the new sanctuary of Dan.
