La interfaz urbana. Una aproximación

    Este artículo pretende reflexionar sobre el termino interfaz, generando una visión o definición del mismo, que abarque tanto en la comprensión, como en la conformación y diseño (espacial, formal y funcional) de su espacio físico, desde su interés para el espacio urbano.El artículo pretende acercar la definición de interfaz a una concepción espacial del mismo, en relación al espacio urbano público. Esta concepción se genera desde dos visiones complementarías: 1) desde la capacidad vinculante del espacio público (la calle) en relación a los usos y funciones, y de éstos con las redes y sistemas estructurantes de la ciudad, y 2) desde el ordenamiento y reparto físico de los interfases en el espacio urbano, que se define en parte por los grados de complementariedad, compatibilidad e interconexión de los mismo. La complejidad presente, en relación a la articulación de los diferentes elementos y agentes urbanos antes descritos, establecen un perspectiva multi-escalar y cambiante de la concepción teórica y práctica de la conformación del espacio de interfaz en la ciudad.Sin embargo, indistintamente de la naturaleza cambiante de los agentes urbanos, que ciertamente presenta una indefinición teórica e inestabilidad en la conformación del espacio de interfaz, se puede establecer, a priori, un acercamiento tanto formal, espacial y funcional como teórico, sobre la base de un espacio común de soporte, contención y articulación, que para este caso de estudio es el espacio público y más específicamente la calle.de sus nuevos espacios de poder.

    Aquest article pretén reflexionar sobre el terme interfície, generant una visió o definició del mateix, que abasti tant en la comprensió, com en la conformació i disseny (espacial, formal i funcional) del seu espai físic, des del seu interès per a l’espai urbà.L’article pretén acostar la definició d’interfície a una concepció espacial del mateix, en relació a l’espai urbà públic. Aquesta concepció es genera des de dues visions complementaries: 1) des de la capacitat vinculant de l’espai públic (carrer) en relació als usos i funcions, i d’aquests amb les xarxes i sistemes estructurants de la ciutat, i 2) des de l’ordenament i repartiment físic dels interfases en l’espai urbà, que es defineix en part pels graus de complementarietat, compatibilitat i interconnexió dels mateix.La complexitat present, en relació a l’articulació dels diferents elements i agents urbans abans descrits, estableixen un perspectiva multi-escalar i canviant de la concepció teòrica i pràctica de la conformació de l’espai d’interfície a la ciutat.No obstant això, indistintament de la naturalesa canviant dels agents urbans, que certament presenta una indefinició teòrica i inestabilitat en la conformació de l’espai d’interfície, es pot establir, a priori, un acostament tant formal, espacial i funcional com teòric, sobre la base d’un espai comú de suport, contenció i articulació, que per a aquest cas d’estudi és l’espai públic i més específicament carrer.

    This article aims to reflect on the term interface, generating a vision or definition of it, covering both the understanding, as well as the conformation and design (spatial, formal and functional) of its physical space, from its interest for the urban space.The article aims to bring the definition of interface to a spatial conception of it, in relation to the public urban space. This conception is generated from two complementary views: 1) from the binding capacity of the public space (the street) in relation to the uses and functions, and of these with the networks and structuring systems of the city, and 2) from the ordering and physical distribution of the interfaces in the urban space, which is defined in part by the degrees of complementarity, compatibility and interconnection of the same.The present complexity, in relation to the articulation of the different elements and urban agents described above, establish a multi-scalar and changing perspective of the theoretical and practical conception of the conformation of the interface space in the city.However, regardless of the changing nature of urban agents, which certainly presents a theoretical lack of definition and instability in the conformation of the interface space, a formal, spatial and functional as well as theoretical approach can be established, a priori, on the basis of of a common space of support, containment and articulation, which for this case of study is the public space and more specifically the street.
