    El trabajo ofrece los resultados de una investigación sobre diversos aspectos de la cultura del cuidado presentes en el Quijote. En primer lugar se contextualiza la noción de cuidado y la virtud que estaría a la base y de la cual se habla abundantemente en el Quijote, la misericordia. En segundo lugar se analizan los personajes que a lo largo de la novela cumplen funciones enfermeras. En tercer lugar se exponen algunas de las técnicas enfermeras presentes en la obra y se concluye con una referencia a la lucha contra la superstición, lucha necesaria para que las técnicas se basen sobre fundamentos científicos.

    This paper shows the results of an investigation about various aspects of the culture of care present in Don Quixote. First, I contextualize the notion of care and the virtue that is the basis for it and about which it is spoken extensively in the Quijote, that is mercy. Secondly, I analyze the characters that throughout the novel perform nursing functions. Thirdly, I outline some of the nursing techniques present in the text and I conclude with a reference to the fight against superstition, which is necessary for the techniques to be based on scientific grounds.
