Resumen de Excelencia instrumental y oportunidades de aprendizaje en alumnos de música de Educación Secundaria

En este trabajo se presenta una investigación en la que se pone de relieve que el alumnado de música de Educación Secundaria puede llegar a adquirir un nivel de excelencia musical en el ámbito de la música instrumental. Expertos en excelencia y psicología musical consideran que, al margen de factores heredados, existe un talento innato en todas las personas y que la tarea del educador consiste en conseguir que se extraiga esa inteligencia particular y desarrollarla en la mayor medida posible. Este estudio se basa en ese postulado que desestima los factores heredados y que cree que impregnar una experiencia educativa de factores cristalizantes puede llevar a conseguir un nivel de excelencia musical. Objetivos. Discriminar qué factores pueden llevar a que alumnos que han venido mostrando resultados mediocres a nivel instrumental durante dos cursos académicos, desarrollen cierto nivel de excelencia musical en el tercer y último curso académico. Método. En este trabajo se ha seguido una modalidad de investigación cuantitativa, no experimental y basada en la encuesta. La selección de alumnos se creó a partir de los informes proporcionados por el departamento de música de aquellos alumnos que venían obteniendo resultados bajos en interpretación instrumental durante dos cursos académicos continuados. Resultados. Los resultados de la encuesta cumplimentada por los alumnos participantes en la investigación ponen de relieve que han sido mucho más numerosos los factores paralizantes que los cristalizantes los que impidieron un desarrollo razonable de su capacidad con un instrumento musical. Conclusiones. Presentar a los alumnos oportunidades de aprendizaje a través de un proyecto motivador, con metodologías adecuadas y reforzando la autoestima han sido factores determinantes para conseguir la excelencia en el ámbito de la interpretación instrumental.

In this piece of research we present an investigation in which we highlight the fact that students of Music in Secondary Education can manage to acquire a level of musical excellence in the scope of instrumental music. Experts in excellence and musical psychology consider that, hereditary factors apart, an innate talent exists in every person and they also consider that the task of the teacher consists of trying to extract that particular intelligence and to develop it in the utmost. This piece of research is based on that belief that underestimates the hereditary factors and believes that through impregnating an educational experience of crystallizing factors can lead students to get a level of musical excellence. Objectives. To discriminate which are the factors that can lead students who have been getting mediocre results in the instrumental level for two academic courses to develop a certain level of musical excellence in the third and last academic course. Method. In this piece of research a modality of quantitative investigation has been followed, not an experimental one and based on the inquiry. The selection of students was created beginning with the reports supplied by the Music department of those students who had been obtaining low results in instrumental performance during two continued academic years. Results. The results of the inquiry, completed by the participating students in the research, highlight that the paralyzing factors are more numerous that the crystallizing ones, the ones that prevented a reasonable development of their capacity with a musical instrument. Conclusions. Presenting students learning opportunities through a motivating project, with adequate methodologies and reinforcing self-esteem have been determining factors in order to get the excellence in the scope of musical interpretation.
