    Este artículo destaca cuatro principios transversales que animan la práctica de investigación de Pierre Bourdieu y que pueden guiar de manera fructífera la indagación en cualquier frente empírico: el imperativo bachelariano de la ruptura epistemológica y la vigilancia; el mandamiento weberiano de realizar la triple historización del agente (habitus), el mundo (espacio social, del cual el campo es un subtipo), y las categorías de razonamiento del analista para rastrear las correspondencias mutuas entre espacio simbólico, espacio social y espacio físico; la invitación leibniziana-durkheimiana para desplegar el modo topológico de razonamiento y rastrear las correspondencias mutuas entre espacio simbólico, social y físico; y el momento cassirerano que nos urge a reconocer la eficacia constitutiva de las estructuras simbólicas. También señalo tres trampas que los exploradores bourdieanos del mundo social deben ejercer especial cuidado en evitar: la fetichización de los conceptos, las seducciones de “hablar bourdieano” y no realizar las operaciones que las nociones de Bourdieu estipulan, y la imposición forzada en bloque de su marco teórico, cuando es más productivo usarlo como un estuche de herramientas a través de la transposición. Estos principios guían la construcción del objeto y no son consignas teóricas, sino pautas prácticas para la investigación antropológica. Esto implica que la mímesis y no la exégesis debe guiar a aquellos científicos sociales que desean construir, revisar o retar la maquinaria científica y el legado de Pierre Bourdieu.

    This  article  spotlights  four  transversal  principles that animate  Pierre  Bourdieu’ s  research practice  and  can  fruitfully  guide   inquiry  on  any  empirical front:  the  Bachelardianimperative  of epistemological  rupture  and  vigilance;  the  Weberian  command  to  effect  the  triple  historicization  of  the agent (habitus), the world (social space, of which field is but a subtype), and the categories of the analyst (epistemic   reflexivity);   the   Leibnizian-Durkheimian   invitation to   deploy   the   topological   mode   of reasoning to track the mutual correspondences between symbolic space, social space, and physical space; and  the  Cassirer  moment  urging  us  to  recognize  the  constitutive  efficacy  of  symbolic  structures.  I  also flag three traps that Bourdieusian explorers  of the  social world should exercise special care to avoid: the fetishization of concepts, the seductions of “speaking Bourdieuse” while failing to carry out the research operations  Bourdieu’ s  notions  stipulate,  and  the  forced  imposition  of  his  theoretical  framework en  bloc when  it is  more productively used in kit through transposition. These principles guiding the construction of the object are not theoretical slogans but practical blueprints for  anthropological inquiry. This  implies that mimesis  and  not  exegesis  should  guide  those  social  scientists  who  wish  to  build  on,  revise  or challenge the scientific machinery and legacy of Pierre Bourdieu.
