Resumen de Paisajes del agua, producción agrícola y revalorización socio-territorial en el cuenca baja del río Ter (Girona, Cataluña)

  En el ámbito de la cuenca baja del río Ter (noreste de Cataluña, España) uno de los factores explicativos fundamentales que define el paisaje del agua de este sector es el cultivo del arroz. Hay que sumar, también, canales que se remontan a la Edad Media, esclusas y molinos así como diversas áreas de humedales y el entramado agroforestal. Se debe considerar, igualmente, la dimensión ambiental, con la flora y la fauna asociadas. Todo ello en una llanura agrícola inmediata al litoral y que recibe también, por tanto, la influencia de la actividad turística. La presente aportación pretende analizar la interacción entre estos elementos que vertebran la estructura de este paisaje del agua. Se incluye una valoración de las actividades que se han ido implementando en pro de su revalorización socio-territorial y de los retos que tiene planteados a corto y medio plazo.

  In the area of the lower Ter river basin (northeastern Catalonia, Spain) one of the fundamental explanatory factors that defines the water landscape is the growing of rice. We must also add channels that date back from the Middle Ages, locks and mills as well as various areas of wetlands and agroforestry network. It should be considered equally, the environmental dimension, with associated flora and fauna;

  all that in an agricultural plain immediate to the coast that receives the influence of tourism. This contribution aims to analyze the interaction between these elements that underpin the structure of this water landscape. It’s included an assessment of the activities that have been implemented in order to the socio-territorial revaluation of the area and the challenges associated in short and medium term.
