The concept of the narrator has long been studied both in film and literature. In this article, we attempt to describe its features in the field of news broadcasts. Its main functions amd attributions are described, raising several questions about its role and impact in storytelling. Particular attention is paid to the problems of credibility it raises as the narrator of any news story.
