La televisió: un espai virtual enfront de l'espai de risc

  • Television presents itself as an endless text, mono-directional, in the style of a magazine. This text creates a public virtual space, which influences individuals peripherally, while transforming and unifying the cultural horizon which determines people's behaviour. Opposite this virtual space there is the space of risk in which the spectators live. The text of television can come to have an influence which is central, conscious and very positive. In order for this to be the case, the author proposes reinforcing associations as a space for dialogue and decision making, and rediscovering the critical role of intellectuals within society, in particular to work on specific strategies for watching television.
