    El artículo investiga acerca de la función ejercida por lo que denomina el mito de la “aldea global” en la legitimación del discurso menemista. Para ello, realiza un exhaustivo análisis del discurso de Menem con eje en su primer período de gobierno (1989-1995). Diferenciándose de la mayoría de los estudios bibliográficos que analizaron el tema, sostiene como hipótesis que en el discurso de Menem no se trata de insertar a la Argentina al “Primer Mundo”, ya que en su discurso sólo existe un único mundo integrado y sin antagonismos. En una segunda etapa afirma, incorporando algunas nociones del psicoanálisis lacaniano, que este discurso mítico toma la forma del “rasgo unario”, permitiendo la constitución fantasmática del lazo social como plenitud, al tiempo que contribuye a despolitizar en gran medida a la sociedad

    The article investigates about the role played by so called the myth of the “global village" in the legitimization of political discourse during Menem leadership. I make an exhaustive analysis of the speech of Menem with axis in his first term (1989-1995). Differing from most literature studies that analyzed the issue, I hypothesize that in the Menem´s speech, the idea is not to insert to Argentina to the "First World" since in its speech only exists a single integrated world and without antagonisms. In a second stage it affirms, incorporating some notions of lacanian psychoanalysis, that this mythical discourse takes the form of the "unary feature", allowing the formation of fantasmatic social tie, while largely depoliticizes the society.
