Resumen
The Heritage management policy conducted by the Madrid administration during the last decades has revealed several new deposits in the central plateau of Spain. The archaeological site of "El Canaveral" in another example of the Palaeolithic depositsin the Madrid region whose study reveals important aspects about the dynamics of occupation and exploitation of resources by Acheulean and Mousterian groups in central part of the Iberian Peninsula. Inthis article, we present a comparative study of the models and strategies employed for catchment and exploitationof lithic raw materials between the twoperiods.
