  • The Interuniversity Style Guide for Writing Institutional Texts in English was written by the English section of the Language Support Working Group of the Vives Network of Universities. It was created to promote multilingualism and provide a single set of homogenous, English-language guidelines for the administrative, service, teaching and research staff of the Catalan universities in the Vives Network. This paper describes how the Guide was conceived and the process followed in its elaboration, presents some of its contents, and summarises the types of problem it addresses. The paper ends with some reflection on the process and the results, and on plans to improve it in the future.
