Learning to write had implications for the different religious systems of the Western Mediterranean, causing changes that went from the appearance of a new way of communication with the gods to an actual change in the mentality and the attitude of the worshippers. A new interest in the durability and publicity of the message shows that these inscriptions were notm only created to be read by the gods, but by the people.
