Resumen de Canarios al sur del Cabo Bojador: viajes a África y a América en tiempo de Carlos V

Durante el reinado de Carlos V los canarios navegaron, al igual que el resto de los castellanos, a lo largo y ancho del Océano Atlántico. En Canarias se prepararon muchas expediciones que tenían distintos destinos en los continentes africano y americano. En este trabajo analizaremos aquellos viajes que se dirigieron a las costas de ambos continentes al sur del cabo Bojador y la repercusión que tuvieron en la Historia de Canarias en particular y de España en general.

During the reign of Carlos V the Canaries sailed, like the rest of the Spaniards, the length and width of the Atlantic Ocean. Many expeditions that had different destinations in the African and American continents were prepared in the Canary Islands. In this paper we will discuss those trips that headed for the coasts of both continents to the South of Cape Bojador and the impact that had on the history of Canary Islands in particular and of Spain in general.
